Three-Day Training Workshop for Local Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Begins

On Friday, a three-day training workshop began for local agricultural machinery manufacturers under the project to enhance farm equipment research, aimed at promoting mechanized rice cultivation. Organized by the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute under the Ministry of Agriculture and with the support of Bangla Mark Limited, the workshop was inaugurated at Sultan Palli-1, West Elahabad, in Chandanaish Upazila, Chattogram. The inauguration was led by Dr. A.K.M. Saiful Islam, Chief Scientific Officer and Project Director of the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute.

Distinguished guests at the event included Managing Director of Bangla Mark Group Md. Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Managing Director Md. Sirajul Islam, and Assistant General Manager (Business Development) Shahedur Rahman.

The workshop provided training in modern methods of agricultural machinery production, quality control, safety, and work environment standards. Participants received specialized instruction on the use of hand tools, welding, piling, power transmission, drilling, and grounding.

Additionally, the training covered advanced topics such as agro services, spare parts management, supervision, and technical and mechanical skills.

In their remarks, guests emphasized that by adopting modern, technology-based methods, Bangladesh can achieve further advancements in agricultural innovation. Harnessing technology will empower rural farmers to become more self-reliant and financially stable, contributing to the nation’s food security.
