Inauguration of Training Workshop for Modern Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers in Chandanaish
A three-day training workshop on the preparation, safety, and working environment of agricultural machinery was inaugurated on November 8 in Paschim Elahabad Sultanpalli-1, Chandanaish Upazila, Chittagong. This workshop was organized by the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute under the Ministry of Agriculture, with full support from Bangla Mark Limited. The program is part of a project aimed at enhancing farm machinery research activities for mechanical rice cultivation.
The chief scientific officer and project director of the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute, Dr. A. K. M. Saiful Islam, inaugurated the workshop. Distinguished guests included the Managing Director of Bangla Mark Group, Md. Rafiqul Islam; Deputy Managing Director, Md. Sirajul Islam; and Assistant General Manager (Business Development), Shahedur Rahman.
During the workshop, participants received training on agricultural machinery production, quality control, safety, and working conditions, as well as modern techniques for farmers. Specialized training was provided on the use of hand tools, welding, piling, power transmission, drilling, and grounding. Additionally, advanced training was offered on agro services, spare parts management, supervision, mechanical, and technical skills.
The guests highlighted that adopting modern, technology-driven methods in agriculture could lead Bangladesh towards a new agricultural revolution. Utilizing technology will empower rural farmers to become more self-sufficient and financially stable while contributing to the country’s food security.
